We understand that accidents can happen. If your jewellery is damaged through misuse, we are happy to provide a quote for repair. Please contact our team with photos of the damage to begin the process.
Product & Jewellery Care
Do your bangles open?
No, our bangles are crafted as solid, continuous pieces designed to slip over your hand. We intentionally minimize the use of moving parts like hinges or clasps, as this significantly increases the durability and longevity of each piece, ensuring it is hard-wearing for an equestrian lifestyle.
Do your pendants come with chains?
Our pendants are sold individually to allow you to pair them with your own chain. Chains are sold separately, and you can explore our full collection of chains here.
What materials do you use?
We specialize in crafting our pieces from precious metals, including solid 925 Sterling Silver and 9ct or 18ct Gold in Yellow, Rose, and White varieties. Each product page lists the specific materials for that piece.
How should I care for my jewellery?
To maintain your jewellery’s brilliance, avoid contact with harsh chemicals (like chlorine in hot pools), lotions, and perfumes. We recommend removing your pieces before swimming, sleeping, or exercising. For cleaning, gently wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth or use warm water with a mild, soap-free detergent.
Custom Services
Can you custom-make a piece for me?
Yes, we specialize in custom design. We can make pieces from scratch. Our workshop is equipped to melt down your existing, unworn jewellery and reimagine it into a new, bespoke piece that tells your story. Please contact us to discuss your vision.
Can you gold plate a sterling silver piece?
While we have the capability to gold plate sterling silver, we do not recommend it as a long-term solution. Gold plating is a temporary finish that will inevitably wear off over time. For a lasting gold finish, we recommend choosing a piece crafted from solid gold. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us.
Can I trade in my old or broken gold jewellery?
Yes, we offer the option to trade in your scrap or broken gold jewellery towards a new Crawford Hill piece. To begin, please email us at office@crawfordhill.co.nz with clear photographs of your items (and the weight in grams if you have access to a jewellery scale) for a trade-in estimate.
